Are you counting down to the three-day weekend ahead? Labor Day is officially upon us, which means summer is quickly coming to a close in Ocean City. With all of the concerts and movies on the beach, farmers’ markets, and activities, it’s easy to see how the past few months have flown by so quickly! If you decided to buy an Ocean City condo towards the end of the season, there are still some great events to sneak into your schedule before fall arrives. To help you make the most of Labor Day weekend in Ocean City, here are a few local happenings to pencil into your calendar.
Labor Day Weekend Art & Craft Festival
If you’re looking for a new piece to add to your Ocean City condo, you won’t want to miss the Labor Day Weekend Art & Craft Festival. An eclectic mix of vendors will gather at the Ocean City Convention Center to sell unique items such as oil and watercolor paintings, furniture, stained glass, candles, and so much more.
OC Beach Lights
Enjoy a free laser light show on Saturday and Sunday this Labor Day weekend. A five-story tall inflatable sphere dazzles with lighting, special effects, and video and audio production. Located at the beach at North Division Street, you can spot this quick 8-minute show from the boardwalk at 9pm, 10pm, and 10:30pm.
Labor Day White Marlin Tournament
The Ocean City Marlin Club will host its 55th Annual Labor Day White Marlin Tournament from August 29th through September 1st. Register on Thursday to fish on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Weigh-ins will occur between 5:30pm and 7:30pm each evening at Sunset Marina, with a final awards ceremony held on Sunday.
In the days leading up to the unofficial end of summer in Ocean City, I hope you take advantage of your last moments on the beach. If you have plans to buy an Ocean City condo in the near future, you’ll find that Maryland and Delaware’s Eastern Shore is just as beautiful in the fall, winter, and spring seasons – and less crowded!
