Many are the buyers who purchased a wonderful view, with a property that goes along with it. Or surround themselves in a sense of history and live in a particular home (perhaps, too small, ornate and too simple) in order to do so. As a buyer, it is most likely that you too have preferences in style, shape, size lay-out, construction and general appearance of your dream home. It is likely you could reject a lot of listings because they are “too something or the other”, wasting a lot of time and effort, and making an otherwise pleasurable job of home seeking into a very stressful situation.
You can avoid much of this stress and conserve vast amounts of time and energy if you will share your various housing preferences with your real estate agent. Let the agent do the pruning and weaning of undesirable properties. Insist that you are only shown those listings that meet certain criteria that you have pre-selected and pre-announced.
